You'll explore the national capital in Washington D.C, survive a frozen nuclear winter, and even take a vacation to the Caribbean. The three additional expansions included in the Megaton Edition all have short, self-contained stories as well, leading Duke to other notable locations.
Throughout the adventure, Duke often cracks off-color jokes and makes humorous references to pop culture, providing a silly tone to balance out the gratuitous amounts of blood and guts.
Over the course of four distinct episodes, Duke must eliminate the alien threat in LA and ultimately save Earth by taking the fight back to the alien homeworld. Unfortunately, as he lands near Los Angeles, California, his ship is gunned down by alien invaders. The story picks up with Duke returning to Earth after a dangerous mission in space, hoping for a bit of rest.
