I missed the premiere, but later I finally caught an episode. When I heard they were doing the TV show, I was THRILLED that I would finally get to SEE all the characters I had grown to love and I was counting the seconds until it premiered.
These women were IDOLS to me after what they had gone through and how formidable a force they were after all of it. Literally since I was 12 years old, I dreamt of being a Mord-Sith. The result was that I had VERY HIGH EXPECTATIONS for the show as well as accurate character portrayals.
Fair warning, I have to point out that I have been a Sword of Truth FANATIC for EIGHTEEN YEARS, and that the Mord-Sith have been my FAVORITE characters for the same amount of time.
